LCS Virtual Palooza 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk Event

Six feet apart, but close at heart

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we cannot gather together with our colleagues, friends and family for the 2nd annual LCS Employee Palooza on June 2, 2020.

BUT - we can join in a virtual rendition of the Palooza 5K and 1-mile event that would have kicked off the annual picnic!

What is a virtual run/walk?  

A virtual run/walk is an event that can be run or walked from any location you choose. You can run, jog, walk or hike.  On the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, on the track, or even at another virtual race/event. You get to run your own event, at your own pace, and time it yourself!

When is the virtual event?
The LCS Palooza Virtual Run/Walk starts on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 and ends at 11:59 pm on June 7, 2020.  Complete the 5K (3.1 miles), 1-mile or both distances anytime between those dates.  

Do I have to do the miles at the same time?
We encourage you to try and do the full 5K or 1 mile, but if you prefer to add up the miles throughout those dates, then that's ok too.  

How do I sign up?
Click the Register Now button on this website. Registration is open through June 7, 2020.   Be sure to enter the information for all of the people participating from your family so each individual has their own registration.   Also, please register for each event.  If you plan to do both distances then please register for both events. Children pushed in strollers do not need to be registered.  

How much does this event cost?
There is no cost to participate.  This event is FREE to LCS employees and their families.  We just want to encourage everyone to enjoy the event, be active, and have fun!

Are results collected?
Yes.  Upload your own results to this race website after you complete the miles.  Click here for information about how it works to be a virtual race participant.  Scroll to the bottom of the page to watch the video on how to report your results if you choose not to use the IYR Virtual App.  The app allows you to upload your results and photos automatically from your phone (uses your phone GPS to track your "race").  We recommend downloading the "IYR Virtual" app if possible.  The "IYR Virtual" app will probably not work indoors on a treadmill so watch the video on how to manually enter your results.

Will there be awards?
We will not have prizes or awards for this virtual event.

Will there be swag?
Of course!  All participants will receive an event t-shirt to wear compliments of FLASHP.  You can wear it during the event or afterward to boast your accomplishment!  Sign up by May 8th to be guaranteed a t-shirt.  After May 8th desired shirt sizes may be limited.   We plan to deliver t-shirts late in the week of May 25, 2020.

Will there be photos?

Do we wear a race bib?
Yes.  Click here for the full-sized downloadable race bib to print and wear while you are completing the miles. See someone else out in the neighborhood with the bib on?  Give them a friendly wave or thumbs up from a distance!
